The bread is wonderful. They have lots of tropical flavored juice. Maracuya is my fave. Try this place, you will not be disappointed.

Some of the best Papusas in the Twin Cities. Definitely worth a visit if you’re craving some Salvadoran food. The place is nothing fancy, it’s got the feel of a small diner/cafe. But the food well makes up for what the ambience lacks. It’s mostly self service although I think the’ll bring you menus and do table service in the back room. I still typically end up ordering at the counter and getting a number to bus myself though.

We have shopped at the bakery many times and had a sit-down meal once. Very nice people, good food. If you want to speak Spanish, they'll be very happy about that. If you want to speak English, they'll do their best, but the conversation could be a bit limited.

Authentic Salvadoran food and baked goods. I really enjoy the Salvadoran style quesadillas which are nothing like TexMex quesadillas. They are a sweet and savory breakfast muffin/bread

Good food and desserts. I got 2 pupusa, chicken tamales, and French fries. All were good. Also got a dessert but I haven’t tried it yet

I have been coming to El Guanaco for years, and have had a great experience every time. I’m half Salvadoran, and having recently traveled to El Salvador this past fall, I can say that El Guanaco’s pupusas are equally as good, if not better than what I had in El Salvador. Also, the cortido was by far the best I’ve ever had.
